My name is Dani Perry, I am a artist and designer that grew up on an acreage in southern Alberta. I currently live in Calgary, I currently work as a Desktop Publisher for Staples and as a website designer for New Media 360.

I began drawing when I was thirteen and haven't stopped since. Huge artistic influences in my life are anime and video games, and of course my two best friends Krys and Nell who are also amazing artists.

I do almost all of my drawing with my Wacom Graphire 4 tablet, which I love dearly and wouldn't know what to do without. Though personally I would love to have a Wacom Cintiq 12WX... I do all of my work in either Photoshop or Illustrator depending on what I want do. At Staples we also use Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator, & Adobe Photoshop on a regular basis. I have also used QuarkXpress but only in school, not in a professional setting yet.

When I am not at work, I spend most of my free time in front of my computer. I am either drawing, designing, spending time working on my and my husband's website Nyaa! Figurines or hanging out Deviant Art (Both of which you can find me under the user name Dinara). I enjoy playing MMO like World of Warcraft. I love playing video games, watching anime, reading a good novel, and spending time with my cats.

My husband and I collect anime figurines as one of our hobbies, most of which you can see in my photo section of my portfolio. Its an expensive hobby, but something I get very excited about. I like taking pictures of them with my Canon Rebel XS Camera with a Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Lens. Its not an amazing camera but I like it very much and it gets the job done. Though I would love to get a macro lens.
